Blessings Be On You

BONUS TIME

You just think about Noah totin' his umbrella when there wasn't a cloud in the sky
All his neighbors would laugh at his pet giraffe and they'd snicker as he passed by
But the Lord said Hey Noah be cool, just keep buildin' that boat
It's just a matter of time and we'll see who's gonna float

Well, this past weekend, Mike Armour who has been our interim preacher since January, had a heart attack followed by quadruple bypass surgery. Pray for him and his family. So the focus for this Sunday will be "coming to the table" with communion on tables throughout the auditorium.

I'm really excited about the future here at SBC. A lot of neat God things are coming into place. I want/need to be more and more in prayer regarding all this. Our search committee meetings (2 thus far) have been very beneficial and productive. The unity among the staff, elders and leaders is tight. It is a good thing...my prayers would not only be for the future of SBC but of thanksgiving to God for allowing me & my family the opportunity to be here right now.

Blessings be on you...if you are not in God's Word, get into it. If you aren't talking to Him on a daily basis, begin now. If you are not laying down the sinful nature on a daily basis, and then picking up the cross, do it...do it...do it!

Comments:
Nino,
First the answer is "he'll take care of the rest" by Keith Green.

I could not agree with you more about the future of SBC. The feeling of God's presence when you walk in the building as well as when you talk with other members is reminiscent of when we started attending SBC almost 2 years ago.

I go back to something I read when I was preparing for a Sunday school class last summer on the seven churches in Revelation. Basically, it said that Satan would not attack a church that was not doing God's work or will. So conversely, Satan will only attack a church that is doing God's will. I believe that SBC has been under attack for some time now only because God has great things planned for us as a church and it scares Satan.

God bless and have a great weekend.

thanks for the comments, Marc. Let's keep making Satan more and more mad!!!

YES, God is moving mountains at SLC and more is to come!!! I praise God to be apart of it!!! Nino, thank you for continually reminding us that communion is a time of "feasting with the Lord"! This has been a blessing t remember that God wants us to feast on Him! Praise God!!!

John 6:53
Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
