An Encouraging Prayer from King David

Bonus Time

"It's not that I'm lazy. It's that I just don't care."

Had a great time yesterday singing and playing with Kyle Conway for his daughter's 1st grade class. The cartoon song just knocks them over everytime. The principal showed up and wants to get us in for a chapel sometime. Ahhhh success!

Here is an encouraging prayer from King David (I Chronicles 29:10ff):

"Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Yours, O LORD , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD , is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name."

I'm going to save the rest for another day soon. But I love the humility with which David comes before Mighty God. Acknowledging Him as the greatest, even though in the earthly realm David was pretty great. He says this in front of the whole assembly, reflecting any glory that man was trying to put on to David back on to God. And then He was able to show that all of the wealth he had, wasn't his at all, but God's and it was a pleasure to give it back to Him. Time, Talent and Tithe...continue giving it all back to God."
